MN Throttle body swap

Looking at replacing the quadra jet on my 71 C20 with a throttle body. My truck has a 350 with a 700R4. Has any one done that.

Re: MN Throttle body swap

The Holley Sniper throttle body kit is pretty popular right now. I'm thinking of doing it on my '86. Check out youtube, there are a lot videos and reviews on the unit. I think it is around $1400 for the master kit.

Re: MN Throttle body swap

I looked at putting a GM throttle body setup in my truck, but ended up putting a FiTech unit in mine. Seemed like a lot less headache than going 90's GM technology. Yell if you have any questions on the details...

Thanks,
Jim

Re: MN Throttle body swap

I transplanted a complete Tbi out of a 93 Caprice..5.7 ....700r4....in my Blazer. Boyd aluminum tank in the rear. Reused fuel lines and return lines.....Even used the fuel pump in the tank..made an adapter..... All the computer stuff is set if you have a doner to work with. It's a great running set up... I would do it again.

Thanks to all for the advice. I plan to look for a donor car.
