Wilwood Brake Questions

So I've had Wilwood 6R 14" front and 4R 13" rear brake setup with a Wilwood 15/16" master cylinder manual brake setup for a while now and have never been able to get the brakes to feel right. The pedal is very hard and I basically have to lock my leg at a light to keep it stopped. I originally used the original master cylinder rod location on the pedal, but after reading I drilled a new hole higher on the pedal which seemed to help some. I bought a brake pressure gauge, and I'm seeing about 900-1000 psi at all the calipers which is within range. From reading more, it looks like I might benefit going to a 7/8" bore master cylinder, or remove the brake pedal assembly and drill even higher on the pedal. Any suggestions?

Also, any suggestions for brake lines for a 72 long bed? I have the Wilwood proportioning valve with mount to the master cylinder.

Did you try getting in touch with wilwood tech support? I checked with them a couple times for recommendations on my brakes and clutch setups.
