Re: 292 Power Steering

I'm not sure either. I have read that the 250 setup will work with some mods. I'd like to see if someone has a 292 specific setup

Re: 292 Power Steering

I'm using this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10003-292-CH...VSDYLo&vxp=mtr
The water pump on a 292 is different than a 250; this bracket accommodates the bypass hose. The fit was not perfect but I was able to make it work ok.

Re: 292 Power Steering

Wow, that's funny, I've been looking at this one.

It's disappointing to hear that it didn't fit just right.

Re: 292 Power Steering

I believe the 292 engines have different pulley spacing. If a 250 set up was used you would need every component to ensure pulley alignment, including the damper.

Re: 292 Power Steering

250 power steering won't' work on a 292. The 292 block is about 2" taller than a 250
