Temp gauge

Hey guys, I have a 93 454ss. Noticed the temp gauge wasn't working. I replaced the sensor on the drivers side with a ac delco one and still doesn't work. The gauge reads 100 -105 all the time. When I unplug it the needle drops to 0. When I ground the wire the gauge reads all the way hot. Any suggestions??

Re: Temp gauge

Although I have not had the issue, I have heard a lot of folks have issues with the dashboard gauges on these year trucks.

Hopefully some of the more knowledgeable folks will chime in.

Re: Temp gauge

I grounded the wire and the gauge moved. So the gauge works.

Re: Temp gauge

Thank you for that. Maybe it's not getting a good ground.
