1970 Jimmy front leaf arch

Which direction are the front leafs supposed to be mounted on a 1970 Jimmy? Arch up (like an 'n'), or arch down (like a 'u')? And, do the ends go up or down, like o_ or o-

I'm asking because the front leafs on my truck are arch up like a 'n' and the ends are connected facing up like o_, so does that mean my front leafs are shot?

My neighbor says they should be arch down like a 'u', but flipping my leafs would also flip the ends to o-. My rear leafs, and the exploded view in the LMC catalog, have the ends like o_ and arch down like a 'u'.

Thanks in advance.

They seem to be correct. In stock form they bow upwards a bit.

Re: 1970 Jimmy front leaf arch

What ^^ they said. Mine n in the front and u in the back. This is purely anecdotal but I've never heard of leaf springs wearing out so bad that they end up like that. Once you start getting in to lifts and such, they should start being the u and u configuration for front and rear leafs.
