White Wheels: What is the Color?

Looking to go back to OEM steelies. Does anyone know what the white is actually? Pure white? Off white? Paint code or name would help!

I thought it was a pure white. Dupont 817 Bright White. That's what I used on my 1968.

Thanks. Sometimes named Bright white. Suggestions on powder coating vs paint? Best Price locally is $50/wheel to powder coat.

I'd go chat with your local les Schwab... they do them by the masses. Should be able to work a deal just under 50 per wheel and the quality is decent. Turn around isn't bad and it's convenient more than anything.

You bet. I'd go paint - have three K trucks all with powdercoated white steel wheels: I've had trouble getting the front wheels off the hubs. It's as if the powder coat narrows the diameter just enough that removal requires pounding them off from the inside edge with a 2x4 block as a buffer. On the Blazer I'm building now I'm going GM 521 white paint.

Definitely cheaper and easy to touch up.
