Cool Got a truck!!!!

hey guys and gals, just registered here today, ive been on the board for about 6 months but when we got the new one i couldnt get my user to work, oh well got a new truck so need a new name anyways. the truck i scored is a 71 cheyenne, i dont get it for about 2 months because it is all apart right now. the dude that i made the deal with has about 7 or 8 67-72's all longboxes, but he found a shortbox frame and is putting a 71 cheyenne cab on it and the front end of that truck too. he also scored a mint stepside short box for it...of an old guy that had it as a trailer...and for 300 bucks!!! this week he is starting on the frame...going to swap out the rear end and put discs on the front, its going to have the 350 from the cheyenne with a turbo 350 tranny. it allready has headers and a highrise intake too. he is going to paint it at a F@RD dealership in his town hopefully in early august, its going to be the color the cheyenne came ...sorta a olive green color i think, not sure the real name, but it looks pretty tough though. the interior of the cab is in real nice shape...has the wood grain glove box and dash cluster and has a factory headliner too. the door panels are all in real nice shape too...no holes from speakers or anything, he has new inner and outter rockers, cab corners and cab mounts sitting in his shop on the bench, i was stoked to see that today too...ummm not a lot more i can think of...sorry for rambling on but im so exited i can barley sit here, the only sad thing is part of the deal means letting go of the 67 long fleet cst, but i only paid 300 for that and he is giving me 1500 for it towards the 71, geeeeez im stoked, and im turning 19 tomorrow too, wooooeahhhhhh ill keep ya guys posted on the progress...

Derek

Sounds great, congrats. A buddy of mine has a '71 that sounds exactly like yours, looks very sharp, nice color.

Have a ball and welcome.
