89-98 center caps VS. 99-08 center caps
i might have the years a little off but my question is do the newer style center caps from 99-08 chevy trucks fit the 89-98 rims correctly.
any body tried it yet? mine broke off on one wheel and i wanna buy some replacements. and the newier style seems to be cheaper new. but in the pictures on ebay they look just a little differant. thanks john

Do you mean the aluminum wheel center caps? There are two different styles, one with lug nut holes and the later ones without. Are you talking 2 or 4 wheel drive wheels?

Re: 89-98 center caps VS. 99-08 center caps
The bolt pattern is the same, so if you wanted to use the center cap from a steel wheel 99-up truck, it should fit. I don't believe the newer trucks use a trim ring though. The only issue I can think of is the outer dia of the cap not setting down against the rim the same, but I would bet it would.
Just and FYI to anyone else, the alum center caps for the newer trucks are bigger in dia than the center caps for the 5 lug 2wd and will not fit, I tried. I don't know if the alum center will fit the alum 6 lug 4wd 88-98 wheels.
