I've done 4 different cars with Rebel harnesses and plan on doing this truck with one too.

Re: opinions on updated chassis wiring?

American Autowire is good. I use Ron Francis on all of my hot rod projects, including my C10 that I'm currently wiring. It comes pretty custom and pre-wired according to the application and user specified options. Each kit comes with an individual serial number, so customer service is specific to the kit.

American autowire is who I use. I have used some that were much cheaper but imo, cheaper isn’t always better.

Re: opinions on updated chassis wiring?

I used AA, Classic Upgrade kit. Very pleased, made it easy for added AC, power windows, fan, HEI, third brake, rear gas, custom gauges, and more...

Re: opinions on updated chassis wiring?

American autowire come with new plugs. even comes with dew dimmer switch, headlight switch and a few other pcs which saves money elsewhere. I looked around a bunch last night and pretty sure that's what i'm going with. i'm going to call and see if theres enough room in their relay/fuse panel to make my standalone ls harness go straight to it

Re: opinions on updated chassis wiring?

I used the AAW kit. It comes with damn near everything you need but you will need to buy or rent the crimping pliers. I got a pair off of Amazon for $40 that worked great.

These crimpers allow you to make the factory style crimps

One more thing here is the firewall diagram that shows where all the wires come through factory. Made by Member Racecougar.

is there extra spots for relays/fuses in that kit? I need some extra spots for my engine harness wiring. I emailed AAW but no response yet. Either way I'm going that route for sure looks like the best kit out

Re: opinions on updated chassis wiring?

I just took this shot. There are extra places to plug in for ignition and battery sourced power. I don't know how many fuses you need. You could use the CB spot for something and the power seat plug if you not using that I suppose. There is also the fused spot with the number above it I think that is for an auxiliary harness or fuse block they sell can't remember.
