WTB 68 GMC 7 hole cluster bezel

Guys I am looking for a 68 and up 7 hole bezel for my GMC... I am looking for a good original Painted bezel not the chrome Chevrolet bezel.... Honestly I am not sure if the 68 GMC bezel came pained like my 67 but I am sure someone on here could tell me. I am looking to upgrade my gauges an eliminate the choke hole.

Thanks guys

I think the GMC bezels were color coordinated to the interior color. What color do you need?

The 68 still has the choke hole. So 69 and up is what you might be looking for. But I'm not sure if they come in painted and no chrome. Also 68 bezels will say "wiper/washer" whereas 67 says "wiper"only.

Here's a green one from a 69 gmc I've had laying around a while. It was a white truck with green interior. It has no choke hole (only lights and wiper-washer), but it has the chrome trim. Do you have a picture of what you are looking for exactly?

Re: WTB 68 GMC 7 hole cluster bezel

Are you looking to sell the bezel? I may be interested in it anyway.

I am looking for a non chrome unit because the Black is just Raw plastic on my cluster. so re-painting it may prove difficult to get the correct look. maybe 67 was the only year they came un-chromed... same as the Chevy except the GM replacement parts.... I do have a NOS 69 Chevy Bezel (no choke hole) that was painted the Argent and Black. but that is spoken for for another project.

here are the pictures of my current setup.Name: gauge 1.jpg

I am not picky, what it has to be is an original usable 7 gauge bezel, preferably no chrome, preferably no choke hole.

Gotcha. I’ve seen that color before, don’t remember from where though.

Yeah I’ll sell it for $35 plus shipping/fees. It has one crack FYI.

I'm pretty sure I have a 7-hole tan/chrome gmc bezel at home but I'm out of state until Tuesday. I'll check it out when I get back and post up some pics

Re: WTB 68 GMC 7 hole cluster bezel

I bet you could wipe the chrome plating down with something like Spray Nine and you'll end up with the raw black plastic. You also could sand it off

No I am sorry I do not......

I just got the truck last week. It had been stored inside since 1986.... I have been driving it everyday since I picked it up. What a great truck.

I also have a 67 Chevy which has all the original knobs and such... PPL on here were pretty amazed with that one too.

Spray 9 is that tough on the original plastic Chrome EH?

This is one of the reasons I am after an original bezel the chrome on these is a little easier to remove than the stuff on the new pieces... If I have to paint a bezel to match the glove box and interior, I am OK with that. I Would just prefer one without a choke hole.

Here is a blue gmc 7-holer. You have a few options you can do. You can sand and paint the bezel or I can do it in the next run of these
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=758487
Also if you want to be period correct you could install a 68 choke delete like the one pictured on a 67' 7-hole bezel and save yourself moving the wiper switch.

I have no problem moving the wiper switch so I would prefer the later bezel with no choke hole...

What are you asking for that blue one?

Not sure if you have everything you need on this yet. I think I have 2 or 3 GMC bezels but I would have to look tomorrow and see what they are, if you are still looking for a specific one.

Re: WTB 68 GMC 7 hole cluster bezel

Currently I am waiting on 2 painted/patina chrome bezels from members. Thanks by the way guys I appreciate it.
So I think for now I am good unless someone has a 7 hole that is color comboed like the one in my pictures above (unpainted outer bezel with a charcoal? Center)

Thank you all again!
