Paint design- Factory?

Every once in a while I see a truck painted like this that says painted original. Was the front windshield pillar and door around window ever painted anything other than white. Like the front pillar and upper door area on this truck .
Just wondering if this was ever factory or whether they just do this cause its easier to paint the door this way

My 72 had a black roof, but the front pillar was also painted black.

The two tone on cab of the orange and white 4x4 is done in the style that was used on 67's, possibly also the 68's. The cab top was white, with the door frames the other body color.

I tend to agree with Yellow Cheyenne, I really don't remember any 71-72 models using that scheme. It looks very good on the truck in the picture though, I like it!

That's where I've seen that style paint before......the old man's 67 feedwagon has the white roof with the blue pillars. I like the style.
