Head gasket bad??
1970 c10
350 I bought this truck in 4 months ago. Only drove it short period at purchase Installed new intake and carb and then found antifreeze in oil. About a quart high on the dipstick Before the intake change oil was fine so thought problem with intake gasket Changed that and now I'm seeing white smoke on exhaust. It or possible for head gasket to go bad just by running it in my driveway here and there. The truck has no bed and I haven't even driven it yet See video and let me know. What's the smoke smell like? Usually it will stink like burnt antifreeze. Hard to tell from the video.

Go buy a cheap block tester kit to check for combustion gas in the cooling system from autozone. Then you have it and can lend it out to friends.
http://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tools...ter/391378_0_0 You won't get the answer you require on a forum. Or, you messed up the intake gasket install and now you have coolant leaking into engine and intake port. Pull plugs and one should look different (that has the coolant going into it).

If your trans has a modulator valve,it could be bad,sending trans fluid to the vacuum port and cylinders.Will produce white smoke.

If it's been run with coolant in the oil it's likely the bearings will fail

Looks like I figured it out
I've still yet to drive the truck since purchase 4 months ago. Restoring it now but start and warm it up once in a while Mechanic buddy install new aluminum intake, carb, and HEI Wasn't antifreeze in oil before so figured something went wrong with intake install. I installed new intake gaskets and fine now. Changed oil twice already and seems fine. Smoke must have been residual antifreeze. The edelbrock gasket directions said not to put silicone around water jackets on intake side. My buddy did and maybe it was that. May never know for sure but engine runs great and hopefully the bearings are ok since it was only ran on driveway a few minutes 3-4 times. Thanks for all the info.
