headlight and/or taillight covers and bugshields.

Anyone have pics/info of the bugshields they have on their truck, headlight covers or taillight covers?

I'd like to order some for my dad for father's day and I seen some were listed as 2 piece for 81-87? most I seen were one piece top to bottom, now 73-80 were 2 piece.

Yea we have an 84 so if you got 81-87 pics with headlight covers or bugshields post em up or any 73-87 with taillight covers, slotted or bowtie style. We can't run the taillight blackouts.

So please post up love to see them and wonder what the bugshields and styles look like.

Thanks

Re: headlight and/or taillight covers and bugshields.

I put a LUND short bug guard on my son's 86 truck and shortened the ends off, so that it did not wrap around the corners of the front fenders. The guard is just a little above the front of the hood and keeps the front nose from being hit by rocks and other things that are hard. He used to run headlight covers from GTS over his quad lights, but the look was not that great, so we put on a STULL brand aluminum billet phantom grille and covered the headlights that way. We purchased the grille through Summit racing.

Lund covers.
I also have a bug sheild that follows the front of the truck and wraps over the top a little......and it's clear. Not sure who makes it. It came with the truck and I don't use it.

Bug shield on my 1986 GMC Sierra Classic. I got it at Amazon.com. It was the cheapest anywhere legitimate and shipping was free!

Re: headlight and/or taillight covers and bugshields.

I installed some tail light filters about 12 years ago on my first truck. I have switched alot of stuff around but have kept the filters. They look stock until you hit the brakes or turn the running lights on. When you hit the brakes you see the design.

Re: headlight and/or taillight covers and bugshields.

Chris, I threw a bugshield in the trash that came on an 85 shortie I had last summer, I hate those things. They make your hood rust out. Instead of tail light covers you might try some tails like I bought on evil-bay. Here's the azz of my '79 K20...nothing like Chinese parts on an American Truck!

Edit:

Oh, I do have a pic of the bugshield I pitched.....never mind the white stuff!
