Re: Post your truck model pics here.

You're not the only one that needs a kit for a build. I need another AMT 1984 GMC to finish my truck.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

I hate to ask here cause its more than likely not the right place, but if anyone has one of the '72 models that they would like to sell i would definately be interested in purchasing it.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

I may be able to make it work. I was hoping for a untouched bed, but beggars can't be choosers can they? Do you have the stock frame as well or no?

Wow, a lot of nice models. I sold my 67 and later model trucks. Should have kept them. I still have my 66 and older stuff. Here are some of them.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

Here's "mater" from scratch. My daughter (10) wanted to build a car and this was her choice. It has turned into more of a project than I expected. It's a good father/daughter project. The last pic is where it's at now. I need to get back on it. Once it's done my youngest girls wants one also.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

Did you make that stepside GMC tailgate, or was it a resin offering? If it was do you remember where you bought it? Thanks.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

The tailgate came in a 55 and 57 GMC conversion kit. They were made by Shawn Carpenter. I bought many kits from him over the years. Heard he could no longer be contacted. He also did Suburban P/U (Cameo) kits and a panel truck.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

Thanks for the response. I've also found it impossible to contact him. Just seeing that photo inspires me to try making one myself if it isn't available for purchase. I have 3 1960 GMC models that would sure look better wearing GMC tailgates rather than Chevrolet!

I have the same ’55 step-side kit that you have. Almost the same color too! I can’t even remember when I built it but I bet it was back in the mid 90’s.

Used a 454 from a Monogram Chevelle kit.

A few ’88 – ’98 trucks I have built over the years. Got several more stashed away in boxes as well as many unbuilt kits.

Couple squares…

This one is really old. I think I built it in high school in the early 90’s

Got a bunch more stashed around that I’ll have to dig out sometime.
