I dont know how to reference your frame number, you may want to post the numbers up on the suspension forum or the general 67-72 forum for better results. But, you do have a 67-72 frame, the cab mounts are in the right locations and the frame widens above the axle to accommodate the mounting of coil springs. If you are really concerned something is wrong place the crossmember upside down on top of the frame where it mounts and see if it would fit between the frame rails. PS- Placing the crossmember upside down on top of the frame in the correct location is also how I located the bolt holes to mount the crossmember.

Hold one of the top ends of the crossmember on the inside and high on the frame at or slightly behind the widest portion of the frame and slide the other top part of the crossmember in at a forward lower portion of the frame and give it a tap (Tap is a relative term, you might need to beat the snot out of it) with a hammer. Once in it should be easily maneuverable between the rails.

Re: 1969 chevy cst10 build

ok sounds good! , thanks for the info!..
thats the only piece left that i have to clean and paint, plus its been raining here so ill probably wait for the weekdend, i already ordered bushings for the arms, rear an front springs,rear/front shocks, those round cups for the springs, trac bar that goes from the frame to the axle..

im gonna have drums on the rear for now so im just gonna try to install everything new for drums..

for the front suspension i still gotta take it apart and either clean it and paint it or sandblasted and paint it, hopefully i can get the rest of the parts at the local auto store like ball joints,pits,etc,etc...
the cab still in the shop, havent got time to drive by to see the progress, maybe tomorrow

Very nice progress on the rear suspension. Looks like it came that way from GM. Keep the pictures coming.
