just going idiot light to gauges on a 80,s truck and don,t like the Canadian gauges I have found as they are in metric but I found some gauges that have the fonts but was wondering what year this gauge is so I can find the right sending unit.I couldn,t find any like this in the catalogs.

Re: temp gauge I.D.

That is exactly just like my 74 C10 temp gauge. Not sure of other years that had same gauge.

Re: temp gauge I.D.

According to the LMC catalogue all temperature gauges from 73-87 are interchangeable. The gauge LMC shows is from 80 and newer. The gauge you showed is early (73-79) and can probably be used providing you use a complete gauge package / set from 76 and newer that incorporates a volt meter. Gauge sets from 77-79 will give you the font you are looking for and should be plug and play. This assumes you have an 80 truck. 81-87 may be different. Don't use a gauge package that contains an ammeter. This is a sure fire way to start an electrical fire!!!
Do your home work, the answers are on this forum. Many instrument clusters are interchangeable directly. However, its your truck and wiring fires are not pleasant. Good luck

Re: temp gauge I.D.

thanks, all 3 gauges ,volt temp and oil have fonts. I don,t want ammeter. I did my homework but didn,t want to change the temp sending unit a bunch of times to find the right one.So thanks and now I can buy a sending unit for the temp. I just don,t like the metric gauges, can,t even tell which is oil or temp. by the stupid pictures
