Sad news!

A friend of mine is in the heavy duty mechanic program at a local trades college, in 1991 the college was given a new at the time chevy blazer and a suburban if I understand correctly. But definitely the blazer on the condition that they be destroyed when they were no longer useful as training tools.
So the blazer has 28 kilometres on the clock and is heading for the crusher.
I have been told the blazer has only been out side a few times in its entire life. There is also a dodge ramcharger with very low mileage being crushed as well.
Sad.

Vin was removed when gifted to the college.
What a waste.

Re: Sad news!

Yeah I went to Motorcycle mechanics Institute Here in Phoenix. One of the training classes they had SIX 1981 Honda CBX's. All of them had to be crushed and completely destroyed. Donated by Honda to the school with no VIN plates And Zero miles. If you like old Hondas the CBX was a rare bird.

Re: Sad news!

Yea that blows. I went to NTI and we got a 2007 Roush stage 3 mustang under the same pretense. It was a katrina total donated to the 13 miles on the od it just smelled funny. Its a shame. That was a big $$$ car. Hate to hear about the blazer and ram charger. Probably the only time i would condone stealing a car

Re: Sad news!

Hey,if VIN was removed...slip it outta there and have another VIN find it's way on there. I know,I'm dreaming again. But,how the heck would it be know that Blazer was not crushed if it found a new life as another Blazer???

I like that idea was thinking something along the same lines ha That's a real bummer for a low mile classic to get crushed. Not even a chance to get parted out that bums me out!
