71 Cheyenne Loaded For Sale - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 71 chevy SWB Fleetside. Blue with a white top, White bucket seats and console. Factory A/C , Tilt , Tach and vacuum guages. Frame off resto has 400 miles. Motor is billet everything , Zoops brackets Hot coat headers etc, etc, etc. Bed is perfect. Two new Goodmark Bedsides , new tailgate, new front, Rust free floor. NOS Grille (inner and outer) Everything perfect. The truck is 99% finished. Me and my grandpa were restoring it and he got killed in a lawnmower accident. I love these trucks but I don't have the desire to finish. I'll get some pics soon if anyone is interested. Make offer, may consider trade. No 71 nicer ,email me with questions . Serious offers only.

Brandon, I dont know your situation but if you can you should keep it for sentimental reasons.It sounds like a super nice truck thats almost done.Why start over later on?

Brandon,

I too wish to express my condolances over the loss of your grandfather. I lost mine just over a year ago, and we (along with my Dad) shared many experiences working on my old bombs. Luckily for me, he was a automotive mechanic for most of his long life...including a stint as a Diesel Instructor at Nashville Auto-Diesel College. Yep, he was quite the 'The Master' when it came to wrenching. I will forever treasure all of the tools and 'Motor' manuals I inherited from him....as well as the skills and knowledge he imparted to my Dad and I.

Although the autos we worked on together have been gone from my life for many years now....since his passing I REALLY, REALLY, Really wish I had kept a couple of them now....just for the memories.

Somethng to consider....for later on.

Brandon, my thoughts are with you too over your loss. But in regard to the truck, if you don't feel like finishing it right now, find a secure place to park it and leave it there until your grieving is done and you are ready to work on it again. Trust me, you'll want to come back to it and see it finished - for yourself and for the memories you have of working with your 'gramps' on it. Once it's done, it will mean that much more to you. If you sell it, I think you'll be kicking yourself in the long run!
