!950 1/2 ton window bolts

Hello, I am helping a friend with a 1950 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton truck. It has 1 piece door windows. His truck had broken windows, so he bought replacements with the sash attached. The problem is the channels that the regulator guides run in are missing and so are the screws! I found the guide channels but have not been able to find the correct screws to mount it to the glass. Does anyone have a picture of what they look like or what they used for replacements when rebuilding there door window? If anyone can help me out, I'd be very thankful!

I do not have a photo handy but they are clutch head screws . Kind of a round top with the clutch head. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a photo.

I have run into the same issue but have put it on back burner for now. I bought from one the major suppliers, and the hit roller of regulator. They are a pan head screw I got that aren't working. I will be curios to see what others post.

they are 10-24 screws if I remember. just take the channel to the hardware store and try them

true story, I actually installed my glass the wrong direction on both sides so the holes didnt line up. I actually just drilled new holes and used pan head sheetmetal screws to hold the regulator channel to the window. I can be a real shmuck sometimes

Re: !950 1/2 ton window bolts

My problem is with the head of the screw to large and wont allow the regulator rollers to move past them in channel.
Like I said I put it on back burner to move on at this time.

Something like these should work. I think 10-24 thread is correct but I don't remember the length.

Try a round head machine screw. One that uses an Allen wrench might be the best choice if you can find one.

Jweb posted faster than I did, you should be able to find similar screws to the ones he showed at the local bolt supply store or in the little pull out trays over the bolt bins at ACE hardware. I've got to go to the Local Ace today so I'll check there but most well equipped Ace stores should have them.

I remember that fight when I first bought my 48 in 1973 and had to change the broken window (s) in it. We actually drove it to Tulsa with speed shop decals covering a hole in the passenger side window. one on the inside and one on the outside. I replaced the window a month or so later and had to do some hunting before I found screws that worked. Main thing I remember is that the first ones I tried had too big of heads on the screws.
