stepside differences
PO installed a square body stepside on my 68. can i just buy the correct fenders and steps? is the internal box the same?

Yup...same main box...dates back to '54. The main thing you will run into is the mounting holes for the '68 fenders...pretty sure they dont match the later fender mounting points...not a deal breaker, though.

I'd say they're good...are you needing to replace the besides? Otherwise, I'd find the steps & use those as a reference to find the new holes for the '68 fenders. I'd weld up the ones you dont need, finish the filled areas and do your paint work.

There is more to it than just drilling some new holes to mount the fenders though. Palf70step detailed the whole deal with his. I'll see if I can find it for you. That is to do it proper. Here you go.
