Enough already.

Both me and the truck are wondering when the snow is going to go away, I need to go for a ride on some clear roads and some sunshine.

We are coming out of here in Colorado but now it is mud and road debris. So mine won't be out on the road for a bit. Stay warm!

Budnick the difference between them and us though, is we might get arrested for drinking water in this severe drought. Haha. Sometimes California isn't worth the trouble of living here.

Re: Enough already.

Well you guys out in Cali may not have the snow, but we don't have the drought and the wild fires. As much as I'm sick of this snow, there are places that could really use it. We have almost 2 feet on the ground, just snowed Thursday, and it's snowing now. Here's a picture of the old girl ( R.I.P. ) how she looks today, and a view of what the new one see's when I open the garage door. "LOL"

Re: Enough already.

We haven't gotten near the snow most of you guys have, but I'm sick of it and the cold. I've spent a small fortune in kerosene to heat the garage this winter. Ready for some days of working on the truck with the doors open!

We've been in a drought for the 40 years I have lived here I still water my lawn every day and have never had to ration it. The term has about the same meaning to me as "the sky is falling". I've never had a wildfire in my neighborhood either. It's amazing how scary some talking heads on TV make it seem.

Re: Enough already.

I hear you Leddzep, the media can sure make things look how they want. Get more viewing time and keep their ratings up. So is there any truth to the drought ? Their telling use out here that fruit & produce will be expensive this year because of it ?

Either way, the weather sure dose seam to be a bit crazy across the US the last few yrs. Just say-n.

Re: Enough already.

Strange days indeed. Last week lows in the single digits, this week the lows barely get below the freezing mark. 40 degrees difference between day and night, and this weekend we might see 70 degrees. We sure need the snow to keep the water table up because we sure dont get any rain in the high desert.

Re: Enough already.

Yeah weather has been crazy. There is a lot of truth to there being a drought...much of California is a desert, and I'm sure that the price of produce will go up accordingly. Whenever there is a hurricane in Florida, orange juice seems to get expensive too. Some years we have a lot of rainfall, others not much. But we have never been so short that I've had to limit my water consumption, shower times, toilet flushes, or lawn watering. The media loves to sensationalize everything to the extreme. More rainfall here would be a good thing though.

Re: Enough already.

Well I live up in the mountains where most of Ca. water comes from, and I don't think the media is too far off the mark this time. In my 40 years here I have never seen it this bad.

Re: Enough already.

Well to those of you that need it, I'd love to share some of this with you.. "LOL"
Just don't know how to do it !!! I guess we all have our issue wherever we call home. I'm hunkering in, in my heated garage, painting some parts, and waiting out this winter to be over with. I'm hoping this spring brings warm temps for us and some much needed water where it's needed.

There's not much you can do about Mother Nature except deal with it !!!
