Still fighting headlights

I dunno. From what I'm tracing, it's got power going to it... But no more than the one or two amps everything else seems have. I'm totally stumped and down about this whole thing. I never would have thought changing a headlight connector could lead to scrapping a truck, but it looks like that could happen. Either that or it gets pushed to the back 40 until I find someone to rewire the whole shooting match.

Take a deep breath. It'll be ok. Old trucks are kinda like women. They can be darn hard to figure out, never make sense, but dang worth it when you get it right.

I hear ya man, it's just aggravating. Electrical is my one thing I just don't mess with. This is like my worst case scenario playing out. I only tackled this job myself because it was mostly plug and play. I figured how much could go wrong changing one plug? Apparently quite a bit.

on the main lug on your starter, there should be a battery cable, and two other smaller wires atached to the same lug. one is ignition power and the other is headlight power. they will have a plastic lug in the wire somewhere. they got bad inside, and you need to replace them with fuseable link wire. you might not be seeing the plastic things if someone has already replaced them once. I've had a few with intermittent headlights as the wire inside the plastic would move around.
