Greetings all,
I just got my '71 Blazer yesterday at Carlisle and will get some photos to post when it stops raining here. I and am already thinking of what projects i can start doing to do to it. Does anyone know if somebody makes bumpers like these for the 69-72 models?

I have them on my Jeep, and they would be useful to me for different things around the property.

Don't know if anyone makes them but looks like some channel,tubing,bending and welding would build you a custom set.What about them do you like,dislike? The nice thing about building your own is you can design in/out what you want.

I agree. If you draw it up we can build anything you want. I have talked to several major mfg at trade show and no one seems to have any interest in building bumpers for these trucks.

I got the black one with the soft top from the guy on the first row of the car corral. The one with all the Virginia stickers all over the windshield.

I looked at that one and talked to the owner. It has had a lot done to it. Looked like a nice rig to me and was reasonably priced. The soft top was in good condition too. Congratulations!

Yeah, with projects taking up my whole driveway, I didn't want anymore projects. I wanted something I can just run for awhile as is. But there are a few issues. The front springs appear to be inverted, and the steering arm hits the spring when you turn too far in one direction. I want to put a 3 or 4 inch lift kit spring set on it and then swap the 11.5x32 tires from my YJ wrangler. I am also looking for a hard top. That will be it for awhile.

Is the top of the front wheelwell supposed to be higher than the back? It seems like they are a bit higher up front.

That doorless jamb filler is something i am searching for how to do. I run my Wrangler without doors eight months out of the year, and i got used to the open feeling. Do you have any shots of the fabrication, or any other info that might help me do something like that on my '71 Blazer?

guy i bought it from did all that. its a guy a work with, but the way he did it, it is now a one piece body other than the hood and tail gate everything is welded...

i see a few later models with this done, but i cant find any other examples of my '71 here or on any other sites. Does anyone remember seeing any posts of doing this to the '69 - '72 models?
