Static Drop Stock Crossmember?

Going to be running a 7inch drop in the back of my 70 C10, 5inch spring and 2 inch block (probably CPPs 4 degree correction block) and was wondering about the stock crossmember. I see CPP offers a rather inexpensive crossmember (rear, connecting to the truck arms) with flipped mounts for the truck arms and a flipped mount for the carrier bearing. Can I run the stock crossmember with my 7 inch rear drop? What all will I have to do to not blow carrier bearings or destroy anything important?

Re: Static Drop Stock Crossmember?

I'm running a 6.25 rear drop with stock cross member. No issues. I'm going to add a 1/2 block soon and 3" exhaust so I ended up getting the CPP cross member mainly for the exhaust routing. I think there are ppl on here with 7" static drops using the stock cross member but I'll let them chime in.
