Is this a rare paint code? 72 Cheyenne

I haven't seen this color code on other websites and I was just wondering if it is rare...

SPID Option Number: 482 White & Dark Blue

Does anyone have pictures of a truck with the same color scheme?

Re: Is this a rare paint code? 72 Cheyenne

I just browsed all of those posts in that thread and didn't see a truck exactly like mine with the dark blue option code. The ones that I saw all looked like the medium blue.

However, I did see someone mention my color scheme in another thread (482 Deluxe Two-Tone 523 body color 521 secondary W/DB/W/DB), but I have yet to see a picture of a truck with my body color scheme unless I am getting the medium blue and the dark blue mixed up.

Here is the thread:

Re: Is this a rare paint code? 72 Cheyenne

There is a truck on the last page (361) that is dark blue with a light blue roof. So you can sort of get an idea of the two colors. Not the best picture for defining the two colors due to the lighting. But the two blues are not that far apart from each other. So after close that after 50 years maybe they will be hard to tell apart. That unfortunately doesn't answer your question. Post some pictures of your truck and maybe someone will recognize it as the same color as their truck. And if it is rare then we would love to have it in the Blue Truck thread.
What year is your truck?

Re: Is this a rare paint code? 72 Cheyenne

Agree not rare. Also, I believe 482 is the Deluxe Two Tone code - would have white in the middle in addition to the roof. Is normally worded a little different as in "White/Dk Blue/Whit.." until it runs out of room on the line.

Re: Is this a rare paint code? 72 Cheyenne

Thank you everyone for the information on the paint code. My truck is a 72 C20 Cheyenne. I believe it was repainted sometime in the 80's by the original owner.

Here is the truck's story with some good pictures:

I had a 1972 Highlander that had the same paint code. I’ll see if I can dig up a couple of pictures. It had definitely been repainted, though. You have a nice looking truck.

I just bought one in Oregon with the same code 482. It should make the trip to Hawaii in a few weeks.
