Cpp Frame mount gas tank

Has anyone installed a Cpp frame mount gas tank on there wood bed truck will they fit? the ad state 67-72 but it do not say if it is will fit wood bed floor. I have a 1969 c10 step side and have purchase a Cpp frame mount gas tank but notice LMC says there frame mount gas tank fit both wood and non wood floor wondering if Cpp works the same. my concern is how do it fit inside the bed any help would be great

Re: Cpp Frame mount gas tank

I installed the CPP tank in my 70 LWB metal floor bed. I'm posting the photos so you can see how the tanks fits in the frame. I don't think a wood floor would make much difference.

BTW - installation is a real PITA doing it by yourself. Get a friend to help with the final installation and bracket lineup.

These photos were before I installed the RideTech suspension. The leaf springs are long gone.

Yours might not have these brackets at the corners.

I cut the brackets out of the corners to get a little extra clearance.

Finished with the RideTech suspension.

With those leafs gone looks like you have room for a 12/15" wide rim.
Wonder if that trailing arm setup will work on an 83.

Don't think that make it for an 83. This is for 63-72 C10.

The angle on the photo is a little deceiving, there really isn't that much room.

I found this on the CPP website. It shows where the fuel outlet enters the bed between the rails. But you best bet is to call CPP and get their answer to your question.
