Is this a computer trying to die? 2005, 2500

I have an 05 3/4 ton 4wd with 135K miles. Recently it shifted really hard while pulling a trailer with a mower on it about 10 miles. After mowing my dad's yard I headed back home and it shifted normal. Saturday the AC started blowing hot air. Not ambient air but really hot like the heater was on. I found a place to park and shut if off for about 15 seconds and restarted. The AC was blowing cold again. Seems like both of these issues re-set themselves after the truck was shut off and restarted. Any ideas on where this gremlin is living? Thanks for any help.

your heat normally runs full-tilt, full-time. The actuators for the heater box doors are having an issue. Shutting the truck down and restarting restarts them too, but you need to figure out if the actuators are going bad, or the controller. Do you have manual heater controls or climate control?
