Cool Dana 60 found!

So I'm involved with a car ministry through my church. A couple weeks ago I went out there and there was an old dodge plow truck. Tonight I went to look at it just to see if it was a 1 ton, with the coveted dana 60 axle. I walk up to it and I see a 350 badge on the fender I look down at the hubs and sure enough its got 4" hubs. It's an 1984 srw dodge. I talked to the president and he said you can buy the whole truck for $150. So right now I'm trying to figure out where the heck I can store it basically I figure I can get a free dana 60 plus some extra coin once I scrap the rest of the truck. I'm not interested in letting people know where its at right now for obvious reasons.

Re: Dana 60 found!

that 60 you're looking at will have external hubs, but other than that it is pretty much the same as a chevy 60, just a little narrower. i have one from a dodge myself.

Re: Dana 60 found!

That`s a cool deal.My was-wife`s knuckleheaded cousin had `78 W250 that had a Dana60.He was just using it for a trash hauler.I told him to let me know when he was giving up on it...pretty beat.i see him a while later and asked what was up with the Dodge. He said it had a fire under the hood.
"What did you do with it?"
"Sold it to some guy for $100."
I about smacked the sense out of him. Then, realized he didn`t have any.For example,I had sold him a new chrome step bumper I had stashed for $200 when I told him to let me know when he was done with it.
I`m glad you got yours.
