1958 Apache frame measurements

Can anyone tell me the width center to center of the front and rear cab mounts and distance between front and rear mount center to center? I can't find a frame "schematic" or "diagram" for these trucks.
Thanks in advance ,
Dane

Thanks a lot! I have been searching for days with no luck, what did you type in for the search? Or do you have a link to the full size image it gets really distorted when I zoom.

Do you know exactly how they're different? I'm going to use a 567 frame under my 59. I've already discovered the 59 frame is 2" longer overall and it's from the rad forward.

Any other differences?

Re: 1958 Apache frame measurements

The 58 59 frame is longer out front because the fenders are longer. The rad support brackets on the frame will need to be relocated a bit further forward. Not tottaly positive but I think the axle centreline etc is the same, wheelbase as well. I know because I have a 58 frame under my 57. Brackets had to bemoved back for rad support and frame is also too long so bumper on mine would be too far forward or on yours frame wouldnt be long enough out front to attach the bumper. Easy fix though. Measurements are in assembly manua I think.

Re: 1958 Apache frame measurements

Sorry to resurect this one -
Does anyone know for sure if the 57-58-59 long bed frames are longer out back than the 55-56-57 long bed frames?
I want to stretch my 57 (early) long bed to fit a full 8' piece of lumber laying flat or just find a later model box but if I have to stretch the frame, well, it'd be good to know about it first.

Re: 1958 Apache frame measurements

There are frame drawings with dimensions in there.
Or customize your tailgate to accommodate the longer lumber. How much short are you?

Re: 1958 Apache frame measurements

gm heritage center has the following bed length info (line H)
1/2T beds come in 78" and 98" bed
3/4T beds come in 98" only
1T beds come in 108" only

gmheritagecenter.com/docs/gm-heritage-archive/vehicle-information-kits/Chevrolet-Trucks/1959-Chevrolet-Truck.pdf

from ogre heritage center

55.1-59 had stepside all models and lengths
55-58 had cameo on 1/2T, 78" only
58-59 had fleetside beds 1/2T 78" and 98"
trivia: same short stepside box 54 thru 88, same box, step and fenders 55-66

78" is 6ft 6in
98" is 8ft 2in
108" in 9ft
