Re: ac issue

What the hell are the symptoms? Blowing but not cold? Not blowing at all? If it's blowing but not cold is the compressor coming on? How do you know there aren't any leaks? What is the low side pressure?

Re: ac issue

Do you mean he added an electric fan and in doing so the a/c quit working along with the 4x4 switch? I am sorry,I own a shop and I often ask some question around the horn trying to get to where I am going, talking it out is key no matter if it is with your customer your buddies or your wife. A lot of troubles could be avoided by clear comunication. Jim

Re: ac issue

Pull the plug off the compressor and check the voltage across it with the AC on. Also, what are the details of the fan install? You would think that might be helpful if all this happened right after. These additional symptoms and probable causes are pertinent information when trying to diagnose. You can't just say "Hey my ac quit working what happened" and expect us to tell you.

Re: ac issue

Update. I found that the compressor has no power. I also found a ton of fuses blown that was the issue with the 4wd. The relay on the drivers fender only has power on one terminal. Correct me if I am wrong but shouldn't have power on 2 legs?
