Drilling holes in my roof - Clearance light ?

This is for my Suburban so no raised pads to go by.

I've seen others where, obviously added later, that the middle three looked too grouped together.

I did find a few pictures of factory light installations but I don't know the dimensions.

I have mine placed 9" apart. I am not sure if I should go closer together.
I haven't drilled any holes yet and will be using nutserts for fastening points.

I think they look OK, but I am looking for opinions, I only want to do this one time

Re: Drilling holes in my roof - Clearance light ?

Interesting CG. Your instructions show 8" between the middle lamps and the thread HO455 linked to suggested 6" was the dimension.

But it's too late. I moved them and ended up with 7.5" between the three middle lamps. The outside lamps are about 8" in from the drip rail. The curved base of the Doray 411 lights and the high dome of the Suburban roof fit better moved in.
