Winner of 1955 1st Series 3600 Announced
Greg Stephens of Salina Kansas was the lucky winner of the 1955 Chevy 3600 series pickup. The drawing was held January 21 in Grand Rapids Michigan. The raffle help raise over $15,000 for the Farm Kids for College Scholarship. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Anybody want a raffle ticket on a 1955 First Series 3600? This is a very solid truck. It is eye catching lime green. (You Can always paint it). Proceeds go to the Farm Kids for College Scholarship fund. The raffle is licensed in the state of Iowa. Email me at dreed154@mchsi.com if you would like more info. Tickets are $10.00 each. Estimated ticket sales will be about 2,500, so your chances are good. Couldn't get the pics attached so built a website instead. This is my first web site so don't expect much, but the pictures are good and they are there. the site is http//home.mchsi.com/~dreed154/index.html October 17 2004 There are still 90 days to get a chance on this truck. Simply e-mail your mailing address to dreed154@mchsi.com or to dreed@nfo.org . We will mail you a raffle ticket. If you send in the ticket with your $10.00 check your ticket will be entered in the drawing. Ticket sales are going great. Thanks to those of you who have already taken part. The truck has been a great draw at the summer events we took it to including four car shows and two farm shows. December 20 2004 Don't wait! There are only 30 days left to get a raffle ticket on this 55 1st series 3600. And not only that, you are helping deserving farm kids get a chance at a scholarship to study agriculture after high school. Merry Christmas and good luck. Call dave or Melanie at 800-247-2422 to purchase a ticket. Last edited by dreed154; 01-29-2005 at 10:13 AM. Reason: The raffle drawing has been conducted. |

More info on raffle of 55 1st Series
This raffle is sponsored by National Farmers Organization (NFO) and the Institute for Rural America. All highschool seniors who are enrolled in a post high school course to study agriculture are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Details on applying for the scholarship can be found at www.nfo.org and click on the scholarship button on the second line attop of the screen. The raffle drawing will be held on January 21, 2005 at National Farmers Annual Meeting. The last three years we have raffled Polaris 500 ATV's. NFO started in 1955 and so 2005 marks the 50th Anniversary of the organization. I Thought it would be neat to have something special to raffle to honor the 50th anniversary so i came up with the idea of the 1st series 55 as I remember my uncle having one on the farm. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do that on this site. This truck is very solid. The 235 CI six has been overhauled and has less than 400 miles on it right now. We will put a few miles on it this summer in parades and displays, but will trailer it to most sites. It is all original except for the wheels, a new heater and new turn signals. And of course the lime green paint. it also has new windshield wiper motor and shocks. Call me at 800-247-2422 Ext 220.
