Sanding the inside of the box- input needed

Ok guys
I am getting ready to get my truck in for some updated paint....not show stuff but reasonably nice 'driver' quality stuff.

I am going to get the shop to spray the inside of the bed as well, but they said I would be well served to give it a quick 'sand' prior to them priming and painting it.
I started by giving the inside of the box a very, very thorough washing and de-greasing, etc....so that is largely done.

Now....
So...what is the best way to go about this?....180 grit? or what kind of quick sanding element? some type of brillo pad? or?
Orbital sander?....quick hand sand or?

Remember.....this is not going to be either show quality paint or show quality budget stuff, that is simply not in the cards.

The truck will be 'back in action' this spring summer with boxes in the back or the odd 2x4 or taking a few things to recycle etc.
It is a nice, light duty 'town truck' for me and my seasonal driver so I have no need, no requirement and no interest for show quality stuff....it simply isn't a good fit at this point in time.

Depends a lot on what products they will be using in the bed. If they are just sealing and painting it, you'll need to sand it up to at least 400 grit and scuffed with red scotch-brite where you can't sand. If they are going to be spraying epoxy and surfacer, blocking that, and then sealing and painting, you can send it to them sanded with 120-150 grit.

This has all the hard to get at area's. If it has a steel floor I made a sanding block with the profile of the groove, about 14" wood stick probably maple. Covered with 1/8" foam then 220 sandpaper for long bed sander attached a D handle. Other areas I used soft sanding block and 320 sandpaper.

Guys, thanks for the replies on this.
I picked up some 3M Scotch Brite pads on the weekend so when the weather breaks I'm hoping to get in there and take this on.
I can see how the area of the bed would be a pain in the butt for someone to paint....given the boxed in perimeter limiting the ability to reach and spray, etc.
Luckily..I'm not after anything that is show quality....so it doesn't have to be glassy smooth either in the prep or the final paint.
Here are a few pics of the truck and the box....and the truck in (light duty) 'action', lol.
Again, the truck is in really nice shape overall...with a very solid dry california history.
The outer paint tho'...is getting pretty tired and thin and its starting to be a 40 ft'er rather than a 20 ft'er....given the paint deterioration.

I used stick on paper and a nappy roller fro house painting. It fit down in the tracks very well but did not cut to bad on the edges.

Hell, I'd leave it alone and save the money and effort!
Looks like a perfect "town truck" as is!
