Thanks! The mirrors are reproduction models of the 69-70 regular rectangular style. They are pretty much worthless due to extreme vibration. I have a couple sets of the round ones but they just don't look right. They vibrate so bad and I think the arms are a large part of the problem. Might try a rubber pad between the mirror and arm to see if that helps.

yeah I have sport mirrors on my truck and you can't see a thing out of the left mirror but the ones you have seem like you can but I'm just trying to find some that you can see good out of because i plan to tow with my truck.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

There sure are some nice looking trucks on this page.

I haven't shown my '72 since the 4" lift with 7" Accurides & 255/85-16s. When I got it the stock 16.5 6.75s with 9.50s were on it. Right away I put 33/12.50s on 9.75 steelies on. then I was going to sell it and didn't want to let the wheels go. I dismounted and used 8.25 Turbo Vecs till the tires got bad. Then I put some 16 x 6 GM wheels with 235/85s on till I finally did the lift and put 16.5 x 9.75 aluminum slots with 35/12.50s on. Tires were aged out so I popped these 255/85s on. I bought the 8" Wheel Vintiques when they had that cheap sale. Now I need a set of 35/12.50 or 315/75-16s

I've had it since '01. In '07 I had it for sale for a while, but everybody wanted the other truck I had, so I sold that. This one's my keeper. You'll see another set of wheels and tires on it next spring.

Looks good, so many tires to choose from today but hard to beat a DuraTrac.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

You're right. I went round and round between a few. I landed on these because I wanted a mud and snow rather than more serious mud tread. They are great on the hiway, where most driving will be done. It's a good work truck tread that will last. I got them at Discount Tire Direct online. Free shipping, got them on a new card with them for a $50 rebate, and Goodyear was offering an $80 rebate. That helped my decision.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

Thanks Pete, just a simple change it needed bad. I put your hubs on to go with the aluminum slots for the vintage 4wd era-equipped look, but the wide steel wheels will do. I also have finned aluminum differential covers (dulled) and a transfer case skid plate I got from Cepek years ago. Two things I'd like to see happen this summer. First is replace the rockers & passenger side cab corner and the other is come up with another pickup to put the ladder rack on. This temporary arrangement has gone on too long.

The damage to the bottom rear of the fender, rusty rocker (made way worse), trim, and paint were caused by the 35" BFG that blew out. I have other fenders...once I go to restore it. I also have some better lower trim with good woodgrain I'm going to put on one evening soon. Just keeping it going and looking 1/2 decent for now. I'm going to bring the rear up with new 4" springs, soon I hope. I waited till the tires were mounted to decide whether I'd go down 2" in front or up in the rear. It has add-a-leafs and 2" blocks now. I've decided I like the "plenty clearance" look up front, so the rear comes up

Re: post your 67-72 4x4

I found this picture from '04, I think. I sold the K/20 to a friend who is doing a mad restoration on it. The painting process is going to begin soon. That'll be paint blue all over under inside out/assemble/align/lay-out 2-tone & trim/disassemble/paint white/assemble/align/trim. It will be some truck. I want to take the same picture again when it's done. Hopefully I'll at least have my rockers fixed!

Nice Blazer, not quite my wheel choice up here in the Great white north with our crappy roads but would work well in the city, how tall are the tires w a 9" lift.
