Well, I got myself into a pickle. I was talking to my sister's neighbor and he said I could have this for $1,500. This was the only picture I had time to grab before we had to leave. He's attached to it, so he's not ready to sell yet, but he said he'll let me know when he's ready...

Not sure of the year.
California truck, so pretty much rust free.
He doesn't drive it anymore, except around the block every 2-3 weeks to keep it running.

How can I convince my wife to let me get another one?..... She's only said no about 10 times over the past couple of months...

If she appreciates a good investment, tell her it's easily worth double the asking price.

If she is simply against getting another vehicle.... then I got nuthin.

I was offered up my 68 wrecker, wife was in a good mood so I thought I'd bring it up. Once I mentioned who called that day, she said "I don't want to hear it". So, my oldest and I took that as a yes. I drove about an hour and towed it home, put it in the garage. That evening after she got home, she went into the garage to get something out of the garage fridge. I wasn't home. She text me, can't text and drive! So when I got home she asked me whos truck was in the garage. I said it was mine, got the hairy eyeball. I told her I tried to talk to her about it and she didn't want to hear about it. This makes 8 vehicles in the garage and driveway.

Two are my wifes, one my sons, rest mine.

Show her this thread in a couple days after folks get a chance to respond. If you had a year and some more pictures of the rust free underbody, perfect bed and the engine bay, the situation may even improve!

Find out if there's something she really wants (that's not too expensive) and let her get it. Once you buy the truck, keep it somewhere that's not a annoyance for her

If I found a truck that I just had to have, I'd just buy it. The price would have to be killer for that to happen, though. That would make six vehicles; parking in a tract home with no garage parking. Tough, but doable.

Just had the hardwood floors refinished in the house,wife says they look beautiful, she can't believe I would spend the money to have it done,she hasen't been to the back shed yet to see the other thing I spent money on, Gotta go here she comes from the shed.!!!!!

Just wait until you've been together for a LONG time .I buy whatever I want and never get any complaints ,Then I realized if it keeps me in the garage and out of the house it's all good with her !
