My 63 Project

Since I have more time than since, I picked up this 63 long bed. Wanting to convert it to a short bed, ls motor, and bag it. Going to be a long project.

Need more pics, the interior and engine compartment..
Is that a 17.5" wheel up front?
16" in the rear?

Re: My 63 Project

Worked on her a little bit this past weekend. Finally got the front end off. I don't think there is a piece of sheet metal on this truck that can be saved!

Re: My 63 Project

It is better repair the original sheetmetal versus buying aftermarket replacement fenders, inner fenders, grill panel, etc.

Re: My 63 Project

Looks like a good project.
If you pull the sheet metal off set it aside. You can always throw it away later but once it's gone it's gone.
I leared tons from my build and am still learning.

Re: My 63 Project

First of all, yes, I am slow. Life has gotten in the way, and I have made zero progress working on the '63. I did pick up a 2005 Chevy as a donor vehicle. What all do I need to pull out? It is a 5.3 with a 4l60e 4x4 transmission (that will be converted to 2WD).
