Re: 2014 GMC truck

Get a grip GM, until you get some talent in the design dept. I am not impressed at all. More of the same. No one liked the design of the 07 up neither and this doesnt look so much unlike it. Get rid of those hideous square wheel openings would be a start. Since when was a flying brick look good anyway?

I will give some props for the chopped looking side glass though. Maybe some custom shops can put lipstick on this pig...

Quit copying Ford & Dodge designs and come out with something inovative like the 88-98 trucks that lead by design.

That is all, maybe it will grow on me. Can't afford one anyway, I will keep my old classics and just upgrade the drivetrain & suspension.

Re: 2014 GMC truck

This redesign is gonna have to really grow on me, the front end is really look at me! Interior I do like and rest of the truck is meh, which is what I have always thought of with the Silverados and Sierras. I am a Ram man tho.

Re: 2014 GMC truck

One thing that does look cool is from the pictures.... it appears that they finally made a ls based v-6. The picture of the 4.3 look just like the picture of the 5.3 with 2 cylinders missing. I realize that many people might not be interested in it, but it opens up a new turbo v-6 option for s-10s and passenger cars.

Re: 2014 GMC truck

the style of these new trucks have really gone down hill. ive owned about a dozen chevys and nothing else but im pretty close to trading my 2012 silverado in for a new ram. i love how they look from grill to the dual pipes molded into the rear bumper. and even the wheels which ive always thought were the ugliest part of chevy trucks

Re: 2014 GMC truck

Just purchased a 2012 Suburban for the wife and I haven't driven it enough to give an comment on current trucks however the first thing I noticed that I don't like, it doesn't have automatic one touch up windows. Are you kidding me!!!! Chevy come on!!!! I'm a Chevy guy all the way but they need to start excelling if they want to keep me as a new car buyer, if not, I'll stick to my old Chevys and buy other daily drivers.

Re: 2014 GMC truck

EEEWWWWW H E L L O, Design Team...Wake up. All I can say is I'm glad I got my 2013 before that new design came out. If anyone from GM reads posts on this site then "FIRE" the Interior Team that stole the gauge layout from FORD and take their severance package away from them for the rest of the interior layout......Let this be a lesson to everyone who stays out late on work nights, this is how "UNPRODUCTIVE" you are at work. The fact that "GM" doesn't listen to its customers doesn't help either. I have been a GM person all my life until a couple years ago when I owned a BRAND NEW piece of GM Junk for 6 months and had to sell it because GM couldn't be bothered with my complaints of owning a car for 6 months and 3.5 months of it idling in a dealership while they tried (yes Tried, more like experimented) in trying to figure out its electrical malfunction. Now I own a 2011 Malibu for my wife that has had ABS issues since day one with the same run-around from GM. I have a feeling this GM truck will be my last GM product since satisfying the customer never seams to be a concern of theirs...The window sticker for mileage on the truck was rated at 17 & 21. I live in the country and most of my driving is 45-55mph for 3-5miles between stop signs, traffic lights etc. truck is averaging 11.5mpg. Called GM direct to ask about this and their response was wait until the break in period of 10,000 miles, WTF. It's a shame to watch this company loose their market share so consistently.
