Ralley Wheel Dog Dish Conversion

So thinking about painting up a set of 15 x 8 talley wheels but want to do away with the center caps and snap on my 65 dog dish caps. Has anyone installed clips successfully to achieve this?

If you try this and figure it out, post with how you did it. I've got another car I was thinking about this on.

I've thought about doing that with these clips. https://www.mobsteel.com/shop/mobsteel_clips/

Re: Ralley Wheel Dog Dish Conversion

Unless those are made from spring steel, I'm not sure how well they would hold or for how long.

Looks like there's room for 3 more...but agree on spring steel necessity...

Cool idea cause they mount on the three bolt holes that hold the stock cap.

Re: Ralley Wheel Dog Dish Conversion

The stock GM caps are 10 3/16" inner diameter. So your going to be aiming for that measurement. as your retention contact for clipping the caps.
Unless you find a clip style cap at 7 5/8". whole other ballgame.

Re: Ralley Wheel Dog Dish Conversion

Thanks , I was hoping some one that has done it with the Mobsteel style clips would have some idea where to mount them.
