97 GMC auto to manual
Looking to swap my 4l60e to a NV3500 in my 97 GMC k1500. I have the electronic shift transfer case. Has anyone here done this? As far as the parts, I figure a donor truck would be the way to go, but can the 5 speed and electronic shift transfer case work together? It's a shortbed, so I'm not really looking to go full beef of the NV4500. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: 97 GMC auto to manual
A donor truck would definitely seem to be the way to go. I have not seen anyone do it, but anything is possible. I am sure you will need some changes to the main ECU also with the swith. Good luck. I am interested in seeing how it goes.
