Loghorn Bedsides?

There is a 70 longhorn for sale locally that has damage on the driver side bed side. The truck is in pretty good condition otherwise.
All of the damage is behind the 6 inch add-on panel on the bed side. Can a body shop un weld the 6" add on panel and add it to a replacement longbed bed side that is available in the parts catalogs (or off a junk yard truck)? Or is the entire bed side unique to the longhorn?

The entire bedside is a unique P/N and Longhorn specific, but it would be easy enough to add the forward extension and flange to another bedside.

Re: Loghorn Bedsides?

Can a replacement 6" panel still be purchased?

Re: Loghorn Bedsides?

Not in any of the catalogs I have seen but I only looked at Classic Industries and the Chevy Truck Shop since they are both local.

I have a pair of straight rust free bedsides with original paint in Eugene, OR.
$400 for the pair if interested.

Thank you for the offer, the only problem is OR is probably like 12+ hours each way from me and shipping would probably be pretty expensive unless you were passing through Orange County on your way to Coronado?

I'll let you know when my folks head that way if we still have them.
Thanks, Steve
