Where does fuel gauge wire go?
I put the fuel tank bank in today but I'm thinking the fuel gauge wire goes in behind the gas tank and not in front of it?
*I can take the tank back out again and fix it.

The gas gauge wire goes in front of the tank over to the sending unit.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

So I am OK with how the wire is now?
My wire seems to go through the ceiling and down from the rear of the cab.....I may go on and pull the tank again for a closer look anyway. Last edited by In The Ten Ring; 05-06-2015 at 09:51 PM. |

There should be three or four small clips that clip the wire to the top seam of the tank. LockDoc

I have one clip and then the wire runs behind , down and then along the door seal.
The picture shows how dirty it is back there, damn now I have to clean it

I've never seen them listed in any of the '67-'72 truck parts sites, but this is the same clip here:
http://www.rickscamaros.com/camaro-t...1967-1969.html I needed a couple as well, and had one for an example, these matched exactly. They are sold a few other places as "Camaro Trunk Light Wiring Harness Clips". BTW, they are also used on the power brake booster support bracket (69+) to hold the brake warning light wire, same clip. - Ken |
