Re: 1972 GMC "the beast" c20

It's really cool to see another project in the BIG Garage and good ventilation! Well even though we're miles away, it's good to know we share similar stories on the vehicles and the garage situation. Hoping to build one NEXT year... Congrats on the kiddo, I've got two daughters 1 and 3 and wouldnt trade for the world! As for the 20° working conditions, I feel for ya. I get plenty of time to do that working on the plow truck through winter. It was mid 30's this weekend working on the truck and it felt really good. The wife was froze to the bone and I was happy to take all the layers off finally. Good luck with your build and I can't imagine how big of a brick sh*t house you could pull down with the SM465 and 5.13's! Sounds like a good combo for a demo or wrecker truck.

Re: 1972 GMC "the beast" c20

well i havent had anyluck finding a used manual steering box in my area (mine blew) so im converting to power steering as my dad my dad had a pump lying around and the boxes are a dime a dozen around here.
might be swapping in a 351v6 as my dad has to scrap the c60 so to save the v6 im swapping it into my truck. im just trying ti figure out if its easier to swap motor to my 292 bellhousing or the v6 bellhousing(c60style) to my sm465 or should i swap the whole v6 to np540 set up in.
heres pics of me mocking up possible pump and alt locations as i build brackets, may do same as stock style, does anyone have pics of a 292 bracket? if please post pics and thank you
