Alternator Conversion

Need a schematic to wire a single wire 105 amp alternator into the system on my 71. Converting to serpentine setup from a 1993 Gmc 1500 Suburban. Want to make sure I do it right. Thanks for any help offered.

The thread in my pm sent earlier, doesn't show a one-wire, but if you want to have the battery gauge in your dash to work, you must wire the output wire from the alternator to a junction, where the battery positive output wire, and the power wire to the cab are connected.

\There should be an 18 gauge black/white stripe wire connected there as well. The other wire for the battery gauge is connected to the junction on the right fender where the fusible link from the battery is connected. It is an 18 gauge black wire.

These two wires should have small four amp fuses inline to protect the battery gauge.

Re: Alternator Conversion

If you want to do it right then don't use a single-wire setup.
