Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

I recently bought a parts truck in Texas. The guy had just sold his Blazer to him and said he cussed in front of the sellers wife and kid because he was having trouble loading it. Then the seller sent him down the road to the elderly woman that he had bought from since she had some more trucks. This guy offended her by saying he would give her $200 per truck - take it or leave it. She said leave it and would rather crush them. Smooth.

Well I made the mistake of winning 2 of his auctions on eBay before I saw this thread. I did get the items but it took a month and a few phone calls. You can tell when someone is BS'n you and this guy is full of it. Never again.

What a jerk. Yes it might have been a good gesture to fix his own mistake by sending you the correct corners, but you know he waited two months to be spiteful. :ahole:

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

i looked at his items on ebay. they look very distant, hard to tell what they are sometimes. btw why would you want a chrome wiper cowel?

anyway, sounds like a piece of sh*t. i hate people that lie for profit, or even at all. he is making enough money from the people not doing anything about it. there is no way that he should be in buisness still, with all of these unsatisfied customers. liar, cheat. i have come close to buying from him, thank god i did not. i would have to drive my truck all the way to his place and park my truck on his face. then smash in his truck... or lack there of from what i read.

Hi Folks.

First of all, glad to see the site not being bashful about identifying a con artist. And after a few months of failing to become a supporter, I'll take care of that today.

This thread has been alive just over 3 years and this bird is still in business. Customers getting screwed, it seems, constantly. Has anyone reported him to the law, eBay, any authority?

Seems to me that a note to the Texas authorities from a Texan resident and person who was taken would result in at least a review of the allegations.

Just my .02

I'm more amazed that a little "down home justice" hasn't been given to this guy.

He has been reported to ebay on numerous occasions.

As far as the authorities, some guys from the stovebolt board have attempted, but I don't know what happened. It was reported that he spent some time in jail last year, but I never found out why.

The company, Superior Chrome, was a well respected company doing quality chrome plating for hot rodders. The owner died, and the business was passed on to the daughters. It has since gone downhill. One of the daughters married James' brother Bobby. Bobby tries to do right, but keeps saving James' butt just enough to stay in business. Everyone would be better off if Bobby would leave James hanging out to dry. At least that's my take on the matter.

Seems to me that most of his neg feedback was/is for crappy chrome, so if Bobby did leave him out to dry, it might be a good thing for a Jerk, I mean James<-LOSER.

I have personally reported him to ebay more than once and just a slap on the wrist for him, although I did get my money back, most of it anyway. He tried giving them an old confim # and they bought it at first til I showed them proof that the # he gave them was deliverd B-4 I bought what I was disputing, and voila(sp), got my $$$

HMMMMMMMMMM, If he still goes to the Arlington swap meet. Someone or ones should go and sit in a chair right infront of his both with signs about what is going on. I wish i lived by him. I would have to hook a chain to his peace of crap and drag it to a lake and lose it in the water. What truck? Or shoot it up with an air rifle at night.

Well, maybe that was a little harsh. Don’t mess up the truck. What did the truck do?

He was set up this weekend at Canton. I saw a table full of 67-72 parts, went over to take a look, saw "James Blanton, Lone Oak, TX" and promptly went the other direction!

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

I bought 4 items from him on eBay. He delivered 3. The sad thing is he sent the expensive ones and hung me out on a $7.50 glove box liner. He strung me along until it was too late for Pay Pal or eBay to do anything. When I posted negitive feedback he retailitated and posted negitve feedback for me. The tracking number in his feedback does not show up in the USPS system. He was using L. Willis on his e-mails to me. His address is Lone Oak.

I almost bought a tach dash from him yesterday out at the lagrave swapmeet, 350 not a bad price. but the way he tried to sell it to me is what rubbed me the wrong way. he had price list and catalogs of other vendors and basically slammed them while trying to make himself look good. Luckily one of the board members that happens to have my phone number saw me standing there talking to him and called me to say GET AWAY FROM HIM! so I did no questions asked, then I read this post and I am so glad I did. some poor guy bought a chromed dash from him while I was there and it was horribly plated.
