Re: ????? Nos ??????

It will have some original manufacture stickers on the inside. They were made by suppliers outside of GM

The original pad from my '71 4x4 did have a mfg. sticker, not GM. Had the mfg. date on it but don't recall what it was. Seems it was early part of '71. Really trashed and in bad shape, did not save it when I did the re-store.

Re: ????? Nos ??????

Had a few friends work at Davidson Rubber in Port Hope,Ontario, they used to make the dash pads in the late 80s.They would build a run of them for stock to GM in Woodstock Parts Warehouse.

I've had two NOS examples only but have seen photos of several others. None have had a sticker as shown - I suspect these stickers are only found on pads that were used on assembled pickups. Is your photo of a NOS example?

I wonder if the DRC on the sticker shown here from the OEM dash pad from my blue Blazer denotes Davidson Rubber Company?

Re: ????? Nos ??????

I have seen these stickers on some of my original truck,Davidson Rubber Company, must have had the contract to build OEM dash pads back in the day, there were plants in the States and Ontario,I do remember the round Made in Canada sticker on the ones I got from them, they were only reproduced in black, also made them for 1981-87 Chev truck, they used to throw the blems in the garbage, after that they were yours to take home,we must have had 100 of them at the time, lol, should have stashed away a few of them.

Re: ????? Nos ??????

I believe my Dash Pad has a sticker pretty much like the last picture above. It was an original that I just changed a few months ago.

It's the original dash pad off my 71. Like every part I've seen on this truck with a date stamp, it was made a month before the build. 1/16" crack in the vinyl on one of the screw holes. Other than that it's in great shape. The interior on these trucks was well made, and last a LONG time if out of the elements. Black pre-72 anyway. Can't help you with the DRC tag.
