2011 6.0 1400 miles

I have the opportunity to pick up this engine for 1500.00 complete other than starter. I really wanted a 5.3 but this seems to be too good to be true.

The truck was stolen and recoverd at a chop shop, motor was in a crate sitting on the floor next to the frame.
Is it a good candidate for a swap? I was looking for a early 5.3 because I have several harnesses and lots of parts.
it's for my 1991 suburban.
Asking price is 1500.00 including all accessories and harness, unsure about computer. Appreciate any input.

Re: 2011 6.0 1400 miles

My concerns come down to harness availability and other availability because it is so new.

sounds like a good deal. Get it! Everything is available just as much as if it were a early 5.3 or ls1

Get it and you can put all the older harness/computer/sensor stuff on it and use what you already have. For $1500 that is one helluva deal.
