72 sport bumper bracket help

well school me today , trying to install the sport bumper on the short bed and both sets of brackets I have rounded up for this project don't line up with factory holes in frame , do I possibly have 2 wheel brackets , I think I need longer arms , like the last picture I borrowed from one of randys post

Kevin,
It would appear that you need the longer brackets. My swb 4x4 has the wrong brackets and someone drilled through the spring perch in order to use them.

My 71 Blazer has the correct brackets. This must be a Blazer and Short Bed leaf spring bracket only. I put a 2 wheel drive bumper and brackets on my 3/4 4x4. Sorry about the bad pictures can't get a good one of the other side withe the gas tank and cross member in the way.

you need the longer version, kind of hard to see in the last picture but there is a support piece welded in the middle area, extra support on 4x4s i guess.

well thanks for all the help guys we got it figured out , forgot to get the panhead screws for the dust shields but the bumper is on it

Thanks for all the kind words , I think l change rockers next , and blend some patina in the paint , trying to keep it together as I mess with it on weekends

Rear leaf springs Vs coils differ. which do you have?

71 Custom Deluxe, SWB, 2WD, 402, A/C. I developed an assm. guide "kit" for restoring it from ground up. With assys, the guide accts for 1000s details such as OEM identifications& part numbers, written in short order. 700+ images include assm, illust., charts, and points of interest. The ones in fist pic are 2 wheel drive , I ordered the longer 4x4s and stuck them on this morning
