I misremembered. The cage nuts i have hold the door panels on. They may be a different size. I will still send you some if you want them

Re: 68-71 arm rest nut retainers

i believe the nut may actually be the same, but the door panel nuts don't appear to use the "cage". you can see in the top pic (the one still intact) the cage is pretty rusty, the other one i snapped off one of the keepers. grrr...

I bought mine at Fastenal. They are 1/4-20 Cage nuts. Also Classic Heartbeat has them. Shipping could be more than the nuts.

Re: 68-71 arm rest nut retainers

To the OP: have you looked in the bottom of the door for your lost nut. One was missing on my truck, so I simply welded in a regular nut. next time I was in the door, I decided the clean out the bottom of the door and found the nut in perfect condition. Now I have can replace the missing door panel nut on the other door...score!

Re: 68-71 arm rest nut retainers

I put them in a envelope and they charged me for shipping a package.. I thought that was stupid. glad they were the right size. I needed some and spent more on gas than they cost looking for them.

the door panels and arm rests are different, so the fasteners might be different too. not sure.
