Early stages of a battery box that will locate under passenger side on frame on a 57 3100.
It’s still in the fabrication stage..

I would put a pair of lugs for Jumper cables on the truck where they could be reached (even under the hood) because there will come the time you need to jump it to start it or put a charger on it. https://www.amazon.com/Allstar-Perfo...214532294&th=1

My BMW 528I has the battery in the trunk and when the battery is dead the only way to jump it or charge the battery is crawl though the back seat to reach the battery and then pull the cover off and connect the cables. That's a challenge for a 76 year old fat guy.

I made my own too! Took way longer than it was probably worth but it's cool. I like how you solved the drop down track with the little notch up top. simple and smart

I made my own for my 57 also but I also put floor section and access door from a 53 so I can get to it.

Definitely have more time in it than it’s worth.. lol
Looked at all the ones available on line. Easier and quicker for sure.
Recently retired and enjoying the shop time, and making up for all the years I always had to be somewhere else.

It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
