Unfortunately, no more progress.

Too many irons in the fire at the moment to make any meaningful progress.

Ya I know what you mean... so I saw you had the transfer case with the driver side drop. Im guessing your going to run a different front axle?

Hey, where in Pittsburgh are you from? Cool build from another chevy guy from the burgh! You're doing an awesome job, I wish mine was half as clean as yours is turning out to be.

Re: '82 Duramax diesel conversion

I thought about a Duramax before settling on the cummins I did not want the electronics and the emissions that are on the newer trucks

Re: '82 Duramax diesel conversion

bump. Any progress? Awesome truck. I know exactly how life can get away from you. I have an 85 K5 Blazer with a 396 bbc I have been slowly rebuilding for the last 5 years and I am just know to the point of swapping in the axles that I have had for 6 years. I have started the wiring and that has turned into a nightmare. I have two harness and they are both corroded and pretty much unusable. I have run out of money yet again so not sure what to do about the wiring now. Your dash has me very intrigued. I had thought about a complete dash swap in my K5 to use a 95 or 96 dash.

Re: '82 Duramax diesel conversion

I am subscribing to these incase he comes back. I am trying my hardest to replicate that instrument cluster b/c I have put the steering column from the 01 donor into my 87 as well as the instrument cluster but so far I don't have a way to make it look pretty like his.
